NEED HELP JOINING OUR LEAGUE

The League was founded to celebrate Ethiopian heritage while fostering friendship, sportsmanship, and cultural pride among Ethiopians living in Canada. We aim to unite communities across the country through culture, sport, and engagement.

We represent member communities in Toronto, Ottawa, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Vancouver, and Montreal.

Yes, the League is governed by an elected Executive Committee that is committed to transparency and accountability in all its operations.

We organize national and regional Football (Soccer) leagues, athletics and running events, and various community tournaments.

Absolutely. We prioritize youth and women’s sports development through dedicated training camps, mentorship, and inclusive competitions.

League fixtures and tournament brackets are regularly updated in our Sports Schedules and National Gatherings sections.

We organize annual festivals that showcase Ethiopian heritage through food, art, music, and regional dance performances.

Yes, we support the preservation of Ethiopian languages, including Amharic, Oromo, Tigrinya, Somali, and Afar, through dedicated workshops and youth engagement.

Youth can participate in cultural leadership training, volunteer programs, and language workshops designed to empower the next generation.
